Project 52 - week 9, 10 , & 11

I have been terrible about updating photos of my project 52 and I blame it all on our trip to Europe and bad internet connections. Well, really that was a while ago, so now I am playing catch up.

Project 52, week 8

The object of week 8 was to capture a subject from a low angle. Here it appears this boy is swinging high in the clouds. I hope you enjoy!

Project 52, week 7

Week 7 was all about motion. Let me tell you, this was fun. I love motion shots. They can be challenging though. I had a hard time trying to decide wether to freeze motion or capture motion as it happened. In the end, this is a photo that I love as it captures my son and who he is right now. He is so passionate about construction and building that it has spurred him to get himself dressed in the mornings to get outside and play, and he is now singing the theme song to "Bob the Builder" with complete accuracy. So, my motion is simply falling sand. I hope you enjoy.

Project 52, week 5 & 6

Here are weeks 5 & 6 of my project 52. This is such a great project that helps me continue to pick up my camera and look at life a little differently. I love the challenge of having a project each week that keeps me focused.

Project 52, week 4

It has been another amazing week. I am taking yet another photography class and trying to make use of light a little more artistically. This week the subject was winter. Although I have many thoughts of snow running through my head and I was even able to head to to the mountain with my son for ski lessons, no photos with snow or skis worked out. The next quintessential idea of winter to me is a fireplace. But, oh yeah, I don't have one of those either! So, here, I bring to you...hot chocolate!!! I do wish you were here to enjoy a cup with me.

Project 52, weeks 1-3

I am on a journey. A journey to grow. I have met an amazing group of women, an amazing group of moms who have been an inspiration. Now I choose to share my journey.

In a time of my life when so much of me is devoted to my kids, it seems a little bit of ME has been lost. I have picked the camera in order to restore a little bit of ME. I have studied, I have taken classes, I have practiced. And here, my journey has led me to a project. Project 52. One photo, one subject... each week for a full year. Join me in my photographing journey.

Week 1 - self portrait

Week 2 - laughter
